For your consideration we present our Rosario Leonardi Vintage Red Venetian Wedding Cake & 24K Yellow Gold Beaded Necklace. This piece is handmade by our artist, Lisa Leonardi who chose 3 different types of Wedding Cake Beads (from 3 different vintage necklaces) which are LONG red Ribbon Pink Rose Torpedoes, chunky Fancy Square Red Beads and Red Olives with piped white, aventurine stripe & pink roses, to make this piece an automatic Family Heirloom. The beads are in excellent vintage condition and the 24K gold foil balls are also vintage. For separate pieces went into the pulling this one piece together like a symphony of violins in the churches of Venice. This piece is stunning. This piece is truly a handmade, one of a kind. In fact, each bead in this necklace is its own one of a kind. This group of beads was made between 1920- 1955 and are in pristine condition. My items of this caliber sell immediately. If you love it, I would encourage you not to wait.
I have a process when combining old works using Venetian Beads. First, I source vintage necklaces and harvest the beads, one necklace at a time. Once I have enough similar pieces with similar beads, I will cherry pick the best beads in a number of necklaces to choose the best ones that match and look as though they all came from the same piece. This red wedding cake necklace is the combination of 3 different red wedding cake necklaces that were made around the same timeframe in the Islands of the Venetian Lagoon.
Believe it or not, this piece took an entire day to create-about 8 hours. It’s stunning. Don’t wait!
